In addition to our locations in Germany, we are also represented by an office in Timișoara, Romania, located in the United Business Center. Your tasks:
Make business-critical data resilient and help us transform traditional backup operations into an automated, secure and scalable platform.
· Shape the backup platform of tomorrow: Operate and evolve modern backup, recovery and cyber-resilience solutions across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.
· Automate, do not repeat: Turn provisioning, configuration, monitoring, reporting and recovery testing into version-controlled, reusable workflows and Infrastructure as Code.
· Deliver reliable recovery: Troubleshoot complex issues end to end, improve performance and stability, and develop runbooks, disaster-recovery and service-restoration procedures.
· Connect technologies and teams: Collaborate in English with colleagues in Romania and Germany as well as platform, SAP, database, network and storage teams and technology vendors.
· Take visible ownership: Bring your ideas, create clear documentation, shape engineering standards and join the on-call rotation once you are fully onboarded.
Your profile:
· Hands-on experience with enterprise backup and recovery; knowledge of Rubrik or a comparable platform is highly welcome.
· A broad understanding of IT infrastructure, from Linux and Windows to virtualisation, networking, storage, databases, public cloud and security.
· Experience with automation, APIs, Git and at least one scripting or programming language; Ansible, Terraform/OpenTofu or CI/CD knowledge is a plus.
· A structured and analytical approach, confidence in third-level troubleshooting and the drive to turn recurring work into sustainable standards.
· Strong English/German for day-to-day collaboration in an international team, openness to active knowledge sharing and willingness to participate in the on-call rotation.
